Discover Healing with Brooke Holland CST-T, CMT

As a Santa Barbara-based Craniosacral Therapist, Brooke's journey into hands-on healing began with a passion for wellness inspired by her experiences in Indonesia and a transformative apprenticeship at a Los Angeles medical center. Specializing in Craniosacral Therapy (CST), Brooke collaborates with various health practitioners to support overall well-being. For infants (0-2 years), sessions focus on establishing trust and safety, while sessions for children (3-12 years) are child-led, adapting to individual needs. Experience the benefits of this subtle yet profound approach to healing with Brooke, where intuition meets strong academic foundations.

SERVICES

  • After completing an initial intake, Brooke invites her clients to set an intention for the session. This creates structure for the work and invites individuals to become a part of their own healing process. The time spent together with Brooke is an opportunity to foster curiosity and explore what the body is trying to communicate.

  • All sessions with children at Brooke's practice are child-led, ensuring that each treatment is uniquely tailored to a child's individual needs and disposition. Commonly, children are treated while sitting or lying on the table, but occasionally, Brooke can be found following a toddler around the room or treating underneath the massage table, adapting to where the child feels safest. She provides an assortment of toys and fidgets to engage their minds while maintaining a calm and focused environment. It's not uncommon for kids to feel relaxed and even a little sleepy as their nervous system begins to downregulate, entering a state of rest and digest.

  • Craniosacral therapy, as practiced by Brooke, proves therapeutic for both mom and baby across all stages of pregnancy. Through this approach, connecting with the body and baby encourages bonding, understanding, and overall physical wellbeing. It holds particular benefits for women in later stages of pregnancy, promoting increased mobility of the bony pelvis, abdominal organs, and the ligaments of the uterus. This therapy also contributes to providing babies with more room to grow and move during gestation, reducing the likelihood of conditions like torticollis, positional plagiocephaly, hip dysplasia, and other strain patterns.
